English – covers reading, writing, spelling or English as a second language (ESL).
Numeracy – covers math for day to day living, basic school math or preparation of a Math assessment test in college to Enroll in a trades program.
Financial Literacy – for people wanting to learn how to budget and handle money.
Digital Literacy – 6 free lessons to learn the basics of how to use a computer, laptop, tablet, cell phone or smart phone. After 6 lessons a small fee will be charged unless you are looking for a job in which case it will stay free.
Enroll in a trade program – Literacy Initiative for the Trades and Technology (LIFT) Program provides support with preparation for program entry tests for those wanting to enroll in trades or technology programs at Vancouver Island University or another college.

– score of 6 essay (min 5/max 8)

Looking for a job – Job Preparation Skills is a program in partnership with Global Vocational Services/Work BC to provide the skills necessary to get a job. This is accessed through the case managers at Global Vocational Services.
Through one-on-one lessons we cover all the computer skills involved in job search: basic navigation skills on the computer, basic Word skills to create your resume, email management, online job search.
LNC offers also a support to go through an online course either for life skills certificate (First Aid, Foodsafe, WHMS, Serve It Right,etc.) or any academic online course
